Week of the Young Child: April 10-16th

April is a great opportunity to encourage your child to stretch their creative muscles. All month long, preschools and organizations across the world celebrate “The Month of the Young Child,” and we’ll be doing our part to try and help unlock musical curiosity for you and your kids this April.

We have A TON of early childhood material coming your way this month, and be sure to mark your calendar for April 10th through the 16th. This week is known as the Week of the Young Child and we’ll have new material EVERY DAY to celebrate young children & early learning.

Below are some planning resources from NAEYC to make the most out of the Week of the Young Child!

#MusicMonday: “Music Monday is more than singing and dancing, it’s a way to encourage children to be active while developing their early literacy skills and having fun with friends and family!”
#TastyTuesday: “It’s about cooking together and connecting math with literacy skills and science while introducing ways to incorporate healthy habits into children’s lifestyles.”
#WorkTogetherWednesday: “When children build together they experience teamwork and develop their social and early literacy skills. Grab some materials and create!”
#ArtsyThursday: “Children develop creativity, social skills, and fine muscles with open-ended art projects that let them make choices, use their imaginations, and create with their hands.”
#FamilyFriday: “Parents and families are children’s first teachers. Family Friday focuses on engaging families to support our youngest learners.”

Of course here at Prodigies, we will be sharing musical activities and fun surprises all April long. We’ll be releasing the Sweet Beets virtual choir, our first Spanish song, and new Mr. Rob videos featuring easy 2 note play-alongs.

And incase you missed it, we put together a FREE “Month of the Young Child” Songpack for you and your child. This songpack includes Fixed and Movable Do versions of beginner songs (like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Wheels on the Bus) for young learners.

By downloading, printing and singing with the music above, you’ll be able to easily give your kids the early benefits of a music education as well as the joys and satisfaction of reading music.

April is one of the biggest months for curriculum buying, so we’ve reduced our shop prices all month long. We know that quotes, purchase orders and grants take time, so we’ve got savings built in for the ENTIRE MONTH of April.

In case you’re ready to jump on those MOYC Specials — we have a special coupon code EARLYBIRD that’s live from now through April 15th! This applies an additional discount to your order AND helps us gear up for the launch of our Sweet Beets Virtual Choir on April 12th!!
