What it does

Pretty Standard Really puts 8,000+ PK–5 music standards across all 50 states & DC at your fingertips, organized around 14 core musical concepts. There are three tools inside:

• Standards Browser — Pick your state and explore its music framework by concept (steady beat, pitch, rhythm, and more), with everything mapped back to the national standards.
• Compare Frameworks — Choose any grade and concept and see how two state or national frameworks treat it, side by side.
• Analyze My Lesson — Paste in any lesson plan and instantly see every PK–5 standard it addresses, across every framework. Perfect for documentation, observations, and grant reporting.

Why we built it

Standards alignment is one of the most tedious parts of teaching music — and one of the most important for advocacy, evaluations, and funding. Most teachers piece it together by hand from PDFs. We wanted to give the music education community a fast, accurate, genuinely free alternative. Standards data is verified as of June 2026, and there’s nothing to sign up for.
