Why these lessons work
Each lesson is built around Prodigies' philosophy of meaningful play with pitch and aural comprehension. In the early grades, kids sing, tap, and clap to the beat with fun echo songs. In the upper grades, the focus shifts to reading music in the treble clef and playing simple melodies on mallets, recorder, and ukulele — giving every student a satisfying performance moment.
Who it's for
These plans are made for elementary and K-5 general music teachers, but homeschool parents teaching multiple ages will find the grade-by-grade structure just as useful. Every lesson maps to National Core Arts Standards (MU codes), so they're ready for your planning binder.
