When Irish Eyes are Smiling is a lighthearted tribute to the people and places of The Emerald Isle. You can imagine Irish countrymen and countrywomen, linked arm in arm, swaying to and fro, belting it out with pride from Donegal to Dublin. It has been performed by famous crooners and featured in various films since the early 20th century. The song is in 3/4 time and features a catchy melody comprised largely of arpeggios and a fairly consistent rhythm of half note + quarter note. Harmonically, there are a few secondary dominant chords to keep things interesting. This version is arranged in the key of C with lyrics, ORFF and Solfège hand-signs.
Don't take our word for it
This is the most incredible thing! Jaime is 5, mostly non verbal…. she has never put more than 2 syllables of anything together unprompted. I cried when she sang Solfege on the way to bed one night. Thank you for the magical thing that your program has done for her!
Hi Bryan...you are bloody legend!!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to fix my program – I truly appreciate it! Cheers from down under!
